The carved hands are carved in bass relief style into the front panel of urn , this is not glued on . This carved wooden cremation urn is made of solid oak wood with 3/4 inch walls , a very strong and beautiful urn . It is sanded smooth and stained through out sealed and sprayed with 2 top coats of quality premium lacquer . The base of the urn is secured using 6 screws along with felt pads for scratch resistance . This wood cremation urn will hold 2 people s cremains , each side is 200 cubic inches , 400 in total .
